Headteacher’s Blog 8th April 2022

A busy week in school for everyone but also a very enjoyable week.

It was so lovely to welcome Parents back into school to view the children’s progress and to meet with their teacher. This is so much more rewarding for everyone than a telephone call.

Parents were enjoying being part of the school environment.

It was lovely to welcome ITV Wales and Rob Shelley back into our school on Monday. They were full of enthusiasm for Erin and her eggs. A big well done to Erin and her family on helping to create such an interesting news article. Everyone has really enjoyed having the incubator with eggs in school and now that the chicks have hatched it makes it even more exciting.

Mrs John and I were having a real chuckle in class as the learners very politely told us to be quiet so that they could listen to the chicks.

Such a lovely week we have had the chicks and another surprise visitor. Miss Douggie has popped in at lunchtime today to see us with the gorgeous Sophia Rose. She is absolutely gorgeous!

Everyone has really enjoyed being creative with their Easter cards. They have really enjoyed all the Easter activities and the final touches on the cards.

Iwan Edwards also kindly invited Dosbarth Branwen to do some planting with him in the Church grounds which they really enjoyed. Thank you Iwan for organising this for us. They planted a variety of wild flowers and grasses. He was really impressed with the children.

The Easter egg hunt was guaranteed to be an enjoyable activity and luckily the weather had improved today. Everyone really enjoyed finding their egg. A lovely way to end the term.

The Open the Book worship was very enjoyable today with the children starting to take part once again.

We finished by singing ‘Our God is a Great Big God’ and Brenin yr Wythnos celebrating our Schol Values.

A very good week for everyone with a Movie Night to look forward to in After School Club as a nice end to the half term. Everyone looked to be having a wonderful time.

A big thank you to all the staff who have continued to work hard throughout the term.

I hope everyone has a very enjoyable break and Happy Easter, Pasg Hapus to all.
