Croeso, Welcome to the Nantlwys Federation!
We are Nannerch VC Primary School and St Mary's Nercwys VA Primary School. We are proud to be two Church in Wales village primary schools close to the ancient market town of Mold. Our schools are warm and inviting and have their own ‘personality’ reflecting the learners, staff, and the school community. If you are looking for small, nurturing schools set in beautiful countryside with a strong community feel look no further! We benefit from being part of the Federation by sharing expertise and resources within governors and staff whilst adding breadth and strength – we firmly believe we are ‘Together, Stronger’.
As small schools, we pride ourselves on offering flexible teaching approaches tailored to individual needs, stronger teacher-parent relationships, a strong sense of community and enhanced pupil engagement.
We strive to make our schools exciting places in which to work and learn. At both of our schools we have a strong sense of ‘Cynefin’ of locality/ belonging. Both of our schools have a longstanding tradition of delivering education to children of villages and surrounding areas with Nannerch's school dating back to 1895 and St Mary's Nercwys to 1871. We are proud to be continuing this tradition today.
The Nantlwys Federation mission statement:
Challenging our Minds, Growing our Hearts

Our federation values reflect our Christian ethos and permeate through all our work. Our values are:
hope, trust, compassion, perseverance, wisdom and community.
Our schools provide our children with the feeling of being part of a tight-knit community which can positively impact a child's self-esteem and overall well-being.
If you want to experience our unique atmosphere first-hand and see how our learners thrive in smaller classes, please contact the schools.
A warm, welcome awaits you
