About

St Mary's VA Primary School, Nercwys

'Nercwys Primary is a happy school where all pupils treat each other, staff and visitors with politeness and respect. ' Estyn 2023

We are a small, friendly, family orientated primary school where every child is valued. If you would like your child to be educated in small classes with high staff/pupil ratio, please contact school to arrange a visit. As we are a VA Primary School we do cover quite a wide catchment area, as the other closest VA schools are Hawarden, Penymynydd and Caerwys. You do not have to live in Nercwys or Mold etc to be able to apply for a place. We are also able to offer wrap around care including a free Breakfast Club.  Our After School Club runs until 5.00pm.

We are a busy, caring school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing information for parents, pupils and the wider community. Please also see our Facebook page, 'The Nantlwys Federation' to find out more about what we've been up to. We pride ourselves on the high levels of individual care, support and guidance we offer our children along with the exciting and engaging creative curriculum offer.

Our school is named 'St Mary's' after our local church which we can see from our school grounds. We work closely with the church often attending for special events in the school year.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
